Eagles Rest

The Eagles Rest workshop embodies the dictum 'form follows function'. Three distinct roles; a design studio, a wood workshop, and a metal smithing forge, are reflected in the materiality and architectural language of the building fabric. The dense brick and tile forge at one end, the light and airy design studio overlooking the surrounding hills at the other, and the portal framed timber and zinc roofed workshop to the centre. Each zone reflects the activity within it, combining to form a structure that is more than the sum of its parts. Collaboration with Temper Studio.
